The Faculty of Law at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), one of Brazil’s most prestigious public institutions, located in the city of Belo Horizonte, is renowned for its excellence in legal education, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary research. With a strong commitment to academic rigor and social justice, the Faculty offers a diverse and inclusive environment for students and scholars engaged in the study and advancement of law.

In line with its internationalization efforts, the Faculty is proud to host a Jean Monnet Module, funded by the European Union through the Jean Monnet Programme. These modules are designed to promote excellence in teaching and research on the European integration process and EU-related studies worldwide. At UFMG, the Jean Monnet Module focuses on employment law and the digital transformation of labor, fostering comparative dialogue between European and Brazilian legal frameworks.

The course is offered as part of the post-graduate program at the Faculty of Law of UFMG. It provides students and researchers with a unique opportunity to explore key EU principles, institutions, and policies through a multidisciplinary lens, while also engaging with contemporary challenges such as the gig economy, algorithmic management, and labor rights in digital environments.
